Restaurants of Downtown Greenville SC

If you like to eat well then there is no better place to go than downtown Greenville, SC. With over ninety restaurants in a quarter mile area, there is plenty to choose from. You will find everything from a quick cup of coffee, to hot dogs, to fine dining and everything in between.

If you can't decide whether to eat inside or alfresco then Soby's might be the restaurant for you. Soby's was opened in 1997. It has a southern flavor with an indoor dining area and bar that opens onto Main Street and a covered outdoor eating area as well.

Maybe you want a change from the overstuffed plates one finds in most chain restaurants. Then check out the Casbah. The Casbah offers a little different take on dining. They are a tapas style restaurant that provides a wonderful selection of small plates that you can keep for yourself or share with your table. There is always new art on the walls and something new on the menu each quarter to enjoy as well.

Restaurant Review of Nakashima's in Green Bay, Wi

Nakashima's atmosphere and décor has a Japanese flair and smooth clean lines. Hanging on the walls are colorful painted pictures of Japanese woman of long ago and in the background soft soothing Asian flute music plays. Each of the hostesses wears a kimono which adds to the charm and ambience of the restaurant. The hostess stand is in the middle of the restaurant with a huge bar lounge room on the left and the sushi and hibachi dining rooms on the right. Upon entering I was asked if I would be eating sushi or if I was there for the hibachi style of dining. I chose the hibachi style of dining. I was then seated at one of the hibachi dining tables, each of which seats eight people and has a massive grill that is directly in front of the diners. In the hibachi dining room adorning the walls are replicas of different ancient warrior masks with lit up eyes and long cloth scrolls with Japanese writing.

After being seated a server came to take our orders, I ordered one of the combination hibachi dinners. It was $24.95 and included a house salad, Japanese clear soup, flaming shrimp appetizer, vegetable appetizer, white rice, shrimp, filet mignon and finished off with oolong tea, vanilla ice cream, or sherbet. The salad was brought out first. It was a small freshly chilled iceberg lettuce salad with the dressing on top. The dressing had a pungent fresh ginger flavor and was very pleasing. Next our soup was brought out to us. It was a clear chicken and beef broth soup which had a salty good flavor.

Why Are Italian Restaurants So Popular?

Italian restaurants have become a mainstay in many countries' food scene. Despite the popularity of American, Mexican, Indian, Chinese and Japanese cuisines, countless number of people choose to pay a hefty price just to eat at an authentic Italian restaurant. Some are even willing to travel several miles from home just to dine in a particular Italian restaurant. The question now is: why are Italian restaurants so popular among many people all over the world?

The most obvious reason is that they offer high quality meals with varied flavors. The food they prepare is composed of the freshest and healthiest spices and other ingredients which, when combined with excellent food-making procedures, create meals that have the most unique of tastes. An Italian fine dining place is the only one that makes hand-rolled meatballs, a mouth-watering 10- to 16-layer lasagna, and a unique Italian tiramisu for desserts-loving people.

Tantalizing Japanese Treat

As Singaporeans, one of the first world problems we face is to decide where to eat! The problem is compounded by foodie sites like HungryGoWhere, ieatishootipost and Makansutra. Contrary to popular beliefs, these sites actually give you a bigger headache, simply because you realize that everything just seems so damn good! So when I decided to ditch the pre-meal ritual of checking out these sites and rely on my sister's recommendation, I thought I was in for a thoroughly ordinary fare. Using my trusty smartphone for directions (some might consider this a first world problem as well), I ended up at Santouka, a hokkaido ramen enclave at the corner of Central, Clarke Quay.

Top Five Unusual Restaurants in London

If you've visited your local Chinese, Indian, gastropub and chippie more times than you care to remember, you might be hankering after something a little different. Our guide to the top five unusual restaurants in London will offer a new horizon for your senses.

Bunga Bunga - Battersea

This tongue-in-cheek Italian bar, pizzeria and karaoke joint is named after the term Silvio Berlusconi used to describe the naughty shenanigans which went on at his house. The interior references some of the greatest Italian icons through the centuries, all with an eccentric and comical twist, and is part of what makes Bunga Bunga one of the most unusual restaurants in London.
